Not a knock on the facilities but it would be nice if Google's listed open hours for Rona reflected the actual store hours.

Never trust or follow advice given by a RONA employee. The people who work at this store have zero knowledge about the products they are selling and will cheerfully lie to your face to cover up their incompetence.

So I had to drive back home, then drive back to the store with the installation manual for the blinds in hand. The manual clearly stated and showed in pictures that the Headrail must be installed at the top. I also brought the mounting brackets and the blind to demonstrate that it is not physically possible to mount the blind upside down because the brackets will only fit the Headrail.

Do not do business with RONA unless you enjoy wasting your time and money. If you must do business with them never trust the staff. The staff are incompetent liars.

Since I was able to prove that I had been lied to by RONA's staff they grudgingly provided me with a new blind to replace the one destroyed by their kind "help".

I bought a custom cut blinds from RONA. The window is high above a staircase so I needed to attach a handle to the bottom bar of the blinds so they can be reached. The employee lied and told me that I could safely drill through the bottom bar. They said the mechanism to raise and lower the blind was only in the top bar, so as long as I didn't drill through that it would work fine.

Good luck finding someone. 1 star for Rona.

I questioned why it would be called a Headrail if it goes at the bottom (common sense suggests a Headrail should be at the top, right?). The employee had no answer but reiterated that I should have installed it with the Headrail at the bottom, and therefore it was my own fault that the blind was ruined.

They were a lot more helpful than Home Depot.

The employee doubled down on their lie. Clearly I was an idiot who installed the blinds upside down. According to the employee, this mistake placed the mechanism at the bottom where I drilled. According to the employee I should have installed the blind with the bar labeled "Headrail" at the bottom.

Drilling through the bottom bar destroyed the mechanism. The blind could no longer be raised and lowered. I returned to the store in anger.

Rather than admit to their mistake and their complete lack of knowledge about these blinds, I was told that they were correct when they said the mechanism is only in the top. How could the mechanism get broken when I drilled into the bottom then?
